“Helping you feel better now while healing the past.”
You may be here because something in your life feels stuck — perhaps intrusive thoughts and compulsions are taking over, or experiences from the past continue to shape how you feel about yourself, your relationships and the world around you.
I specialise in working with adults affected by OCD and childhood or complex trauma. You may recognise yourself if you:
Therapy begins with understanding you — not fitting you into a model.
Together, we develop a shared understanding of what may be contributing to your difficulties: your experiences, relationships, beliefs, strengths, protective strategies and the patterns that have developed over time. This formulation helps us decide what may be most useful.
Depending on your needs, I may draw on EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Inference-Based CBT (I-CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), experiential approaches and nervous-system/emotional-regulation work.
The aim is to help you feel better in the present while also working with what may be keeping you stuck. Therapy is collaborative: I bring professional knowledge and experience, while you remain the expert on your own life.

OCD can trap you in cycles of intrusive thoughts, doubt, checking, reassurance, mental reviewing, avoidance and compulsions. I use a formulation-led approach drawing on established OCD treatments such as ERP, I-CBT and ACT, with EMDR where earlier experiences or deeply held beliefs are relevant.
Difficult childhood experiences — including what happened and what you needed but did not consistently receive — can continue to shape self-worth, anxiety, perfectionism, people-pleasing and relationships. Therapy can help you understand these adaptations, process what still hurts and develop greater freedom in how you live today.

I work from private office located in a quiet part of Manchester, and see clients from the surrounding areas including Bolton, Bury, Oldham, Rochdale, Salford, Stockport, Tameside, Trafford, Wigan, Preston, and Ashton-under-Lyne.
In addition to face-to-face therapy, I also offer telephone counselling and online sessions via Zoom for clients across Greater Manchester, Lancashire, and beyond. Contact me to learn more about how online therapy works.
Sessions are £75. I also accept a range of health insurance providers, including AXA, Aviva and Allianz.

Reaching out for therapy can feel like a big step. If you feel ready, I invite you to book a free 15-minute Zoom consultation. We can briefly talk about what you’re looking for help with, answer any questions you have, and see whether I might be the right therapist for you. If you’d prefer a phone call, that’s absolutely fine too.
Your enquiry will be treated confidentially. Please avoid including highly sensitive personal information in the initial contact form.
